In the fall of 2010, with my wife's trusty Canon, I ventured into the world of sports photography. I had never picked up a camera for the purpose of capturing athletes in motion, so the learning curve was steep. Having searched out mentors and reading as much as I could on the subject, I started capturing images of my local high school football team.

I quickly learned that not only was the market saturated with these sports photographers, but that the business itself was as cut-throat as I had ever seen.

Needing to find a niche to set myself apart from all the other sports photographers, I dove head first into the art of photoshop. After hundreds of hours of classes and online tutorials, I believed I had found a style that would not only set me apart from those in the business, but bring a whole new dimension to the other wise boring world of posed, team picture day. And so Prep Action Photography was born...

Over the next few years I learned more and more about photography, photoshop and what it took to create the type of work that would appeal to head coaches, parents and players alike. My equipment has been upgraded to the point that I am now using the top of the line, professional gear. And capturing the type of images seen in the premier sporting magazines in the nation. I was accepted as a Maxpreps photographer in the spring of 2013, and my images have appeared multiple times in their photos of the week articles.

My cliental ranges from little league teams, high school coaches and recently working with Universities and the NCAA.

This has been a heck of a ride so far and I can't wait to see what else the future holds for me in this business.
